Briefly mention project goals, and how to contribute.

Web systems for ANSI Common Lisp

I (David Owen) am interesting in either finding or building a good web system for CL, and also codifying and standardizing that system. It must have clearly-separated components that each do their own job well, and allow substitution of other components. A good example is Django for Python, explained by Django's design philosophies.

My current focus is on TemplateComponents. They should:

  • Be format-agnostic (not specific to HTML nor XML);
  • Allow custom tags;
  • Allow access to external parameters (through either dynamic bindings, or explicit injection); and,
  • Have a logical syntax.
